Common Mistakes & Solutions
Impromptu Changes
- Proper planning and anticipation will lead to the best results
- Remote students CANNOT see whiteboards/chalkboards
Active Engagement
- Remote students do not voluntarily engage and feel out of the conversation.
- There is a few millisecond delay as the voice/video moves through the internet – be aware if conversation moves quickly
Side Conversations
- Avoid when possible. Open microphones will pick and transmit voices as if the main conversation
Long periods of instruction
- Saturday classes have routinely been 1.5 of instruction broken with a 15-minute break.
