Class of 2025
All undergraduate students in the Pamplin College of Business are expected to have a laptop or tablet. Tablets are acceptable as they have capabilities beyond a normal laptop and offer excellent in-class note taking and searching utilities.
Any Laptop or Tablet Computer
- Windows 10 (64-Bit)
- Intel Core i-series
- Memory: 16 GB Ram (or more)
- Hard Drive: Minimum: 500 GB SSD (Solid State Drive)
- Webcam: Built-in or external with built in microphone (headset/earbuds recommended)
- Wireless: 802.11ac (802.11ax recommended)
Additional Recommendations
- 16 GB (or more) USB Flash Drive
- Any backup method of choice including cloud-based services like Google Drive.
- Inkjet or Laser Printer
- Warranty – 3 years parts and labor on-site.
4 years is preferred if available.
Windows on Apple Computers
If you have an Apple computer, you will need to run Windows OS for certain business software. This can be done various ways. Check out Windows on Mac for more information
